Eating for the Chakras
I have been doing an experiment for the last several months that has been very interesting. I eat foods that correlate with the chakra color that I am focusing on for that week. It isn't difficult to do as you can see from the colorful fruits in this picture. There are also many colorful vegetables that go along with this. It is an interesting way to plan my grocery list and menu!

What if...
“What if our religion was each other,
If our practice was our life,
if prayer our words?
What if the temple was the Earth,
if forests were our church,
if holy waters—the rivers, lakes, and oceans.
What if meditation was our relationships,
if the teacher was life,
if wisdom was self-knowledge,
if love was the center of our being.”
If our practice was our life,
if prayer our words?
What if the temple was the Earth,
if forests were our church,
if holy waters—the rivers, lakes, and oceans.
What if meditation was our relationships,
if the teacher was life,
if wisdom was self-knowledge,
if love was the center of our being.”

Life
“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment.”

Inner Strength
“When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways—
either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits,
or by using the challenge to find our inner strength.”

Miracles
"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle." (Einstein)
We spend so much of our time worrying about what might happen.
How much better could our day be if we spent that time looking for the miracles around us?

Canadian Tex Mex Snowman
Yesterday it snowed on Prince Edward Island, Canada. My two youngest nephews along with a neighbor girl built a snowman and gave him a little Tex Mex flavor. I love how they incorporate the things from home in Texas with things in Canada.
